For those of you that didn't know...
Carrie won a trip for two to Chairman’s Club for placing in the top 20 Placement Managers at her company, COMSYS. http://comsys.com/index_flash.html
It was a four day trip, and we left on Thursday morning of April 20th.
Carrie and I were looking forward to this trip so we could be alone, and enjoy each other’s company with less distraction.

We stayed at the El Conquistador Resort & Golden Door Spa located in Fajardo. http://www.elconresort.com/

We reached the resort just after lunch on Thursday and were blown away at the size of the place. Puerto Rico has a great deal of elevation change and this continued at the restort. The Marina level where our room was located, which is one of four villas, is obviously at sea level. The main entrance and lobby, etc. is located at about 350 feet above sea level. This is the reason for the funicular. A funicular is a cable car that rides on rails. In most funiculars, two cars at the end of a cable go alternately up and down two parrallel tracks.
Shown here you can see the ferry that we would take to the resorts own island called Palomino. These ferry's would leave port every half hour and it would take about 20 min. to get to Palomino Island.
This picture is looking back at our rooms from the Ferry as it leaves port towards Palomino Island.
